baby boy!

I've got some sweet friends and family who have asked about things we might need for this baby boy on the way. Now that I am about 30 weeks pregnant I would say it's ok to start collecting some of those items! Since it's just a few things I've had my eye on I thought I'd put together this cute little page. 

I found all these things on target.com, except for the Boden onesies and baby gap things.

The camera cord might not surface for a while, bummer. Check out this too cute dress from J. crew for little girls. Love it! but ya know it cost $124. Which is totally reasonable for a dress a little girl will wear NO MORE than 4 times I'm sure. It makes me want to sew something similar! I'm a ways off from doing sewing projects just for fun though, that guest room (sewing room) looks a MESS right now.

MATERNITY CLOTHES!!!

So when it comes to maternity wear my feeling is less is more. Last time I hardly bought any actual maternity things, maybe like a couple shirts at the very end and one pair of jeans from old navy in my last 2 or 3 weeks bc I couldn't keep wearing sweat pants. ( I also made a pair! that I'm already wearing again this time).  I will say though, especially as your tummy gets to be really big, it is nice to have a few things that are made to fit you. In general you can get away with anything that has a stretchy waistband, and larger sized shirts. But in those last 2 or 3 months having some real maternity things comes in handy. I discovered that Topshop has some cute maternity things! Not very cheap, but if you are choosing judiciously you could get away with a couple things.

I just ordered this polka dot dress! I actually got it in black, didn't see this white one til' now, but it's super cute too. 

A cute sweater if you're preggies during the cold months, and a good bathing suit for the summer. You want to keep your belly covered so you don't damage your extra sensitive pregnant skin ( wink, i read my tid bits).

Fixated

on shoes for Amelia. Not sure why but I'm always looking for shoes for her. Probably bc I get excited thinking about her tiny feet walking around in cute shoes. I have these on the list for her summer shoes

little converse and saltwater sandals. 

these both come in "baby" sizes, because toddler shoes don't fit her! She still wears a rare size 3

also let's talk about this scarf, from Madewell. This floral print pretty much sums up my style I think. I was there yesterday and couldn't bring myself to buy the Tshirt for 50 bucks, they have a dress and shoes too! but I just love this, oh so pretty!!

good ideas for "mom coupons"

•  A maid service comes and cleans the entire house! (oh la la)
• 1 saturday morning set aside for a few hours of personal grooming, mani/pedi, facial, haircut, (i could use all of these)
• meal provider: Dad feeds baby (toddler who doesn't toddle) every meal in one day, how nice! this includes prep and clean up *
• One night out where dad arranges all babysitting etc.
• 10 minutes foot rub ( always nice)
• breakfast in bed! or dinner on couch!
• daddy date, Dad takes baby out for an afternoon ( mom takes nap , duh )

I'm so blessed to have a fabulous partner who treats me to some of these things anyway sometimes...still good ideas for Christmas though if you're in a pinch :)

gonna wait for these cute white pants to go on sale from Anthropologie, then they are coming home with me.

I feel like white pants are an essential part of a wardrobe, and I have been looking for a good pair for a while now, these seem just perfect.
