Moving day!

Today is the day the movers are moving our stuff to Euless! I'm very glad we can finally sleep in our new house. The floors are finished and Paul and Barry worked their hineys off the past few days on new baseboards. It has been a tiring couple weeks, sleeping in Bedford, occasional trips to Dallas to pack (packing is the worst), and running over to the new house at every opportunity to work on things. moving update

So in our new house the floors have all been ripped up, and then we had to stop for a few days while we wait for our financing to go through. So hopefully that will happen ASAP, and we can get them finished up this week, and then we can move in! Which I am SO ready to do. we have been spending a lot of time with my mom in Bedford so we can run over to the new house and do little projects like paint, or install new light fixtures. My mom and Paul's mom Tina have been on excellent grandma duty helping with Amelia so we can get things in the house accomplished. It's an exciting and busy time right now as we prepare to move, Amelia is behaving pretty well! She has been good for her grandmas. 

our condo in dallas, where I am currently, has not yet sold, which is stressful! So we are praying (will you pray with us?) that we get an offer sometime soon.  

UPDATE:  they are going to do our floors tomorrow most likely! So they will definitely be ready so we can move in this week, that is, if WE can get ready to move this week.

Moving week!

Kind of... We closed on our new house today, and we will move in as soon as the first round of work is finished so probably next week some point. I will be busy painting whenever I can get a grandma to hang with Amelia!

Easter Outfit

Easter is a day when people try to dress up. Here is what I wore to church and Easter gatherings!

My dress is Topshop maternity, my scarf is Madewell (i had to get it), my pin is a vintage find, and my shoes are from this cute store down the street called Milk and Honey.  

Grandmas everywhere agree, pins and scarves are a  classy move.

I picked out flooring!

I feel like such a big girl.

The main thing is the wood, which I love!! It will be going in all main areas of the house. The carpet is going to be one of those lighter grey tones for the kids' bedrooms and guest room, and a darker one (on the left) for our room. The tile is just going in a couple small spaces, not a main player.

Weekend Time

This cold weekend we enjoyed a yummy breakfast in the Bishop Arts District at Oddfellows. Amelia was mostly very difficult once we sat down, then Paul and I look at each other like "why do we bring her out to restaurants?" then she usually calms down a bit, and after we have eaten delicious food we forget it's such a pain sometimes.  Then we mostly just hung around, watching movies and playing in laundry baskets. Dad is such a fun play buddy!

At my mom's request I took some pics of Amelia wearing bunny ears. It reminded me I am out of practice on my Amelia pics because I was only able to get like 2 decent photos! and they are overexposed.. but she's pretty cute anyway, it was tough because she was not in a good mood (see below).

ANYWAY,

Paul and i have made an offer on a new house and it was accepted! We are very excited about it. Our current house has not sold, so we hope that happens fast. The new house is in Euless in a neighborhood we both know and love. It is old so expect some posts about home projects!! I am getting really excited. 

p.s. we find out if babe numero dos es una chica o un chico on Tuesday!! felt like getting some Spanish in there i guess.

MATERNITY CLOTHES!!!

So when it comes to maternity wear my feeling is less is more. Last time I hardly bought any actual maternity things, maybe like a couple shirts at the very end and one pair of jeans from old navy in my last 2 or 3 weeks bc I couldn't keep wearing sweat pants. ( I also made a pair! that I'm already wearing again this time).  I will say though, especially as your tummy gets to be really big, it is nice to have a few things that are made to fit you. In general you can get away with anything that has a stretchy waistband, and larger sized shirts. But in those last 2 or 3 months having some real maternity things comes in handy. I discovered that Topshop has some cute maternity things! Not very cheap, but if you are choosing judiciously you could get away with a couple things.

I just ordered this polka dot dress! I actually got it in black, didn't see this white one til' now, but it's super cute too. 

A cute sweater if you're preggies during the cold months, and a good bathing suit for the summer. You want to keep your belly covered so you don't damage your extra sensitive pregnant skin ( wink, i read my tid bits).

love these shorts, i think i need to keep my eye on these, and a cute T-shirt that's made to fit!

on shoes for Amelia. Not sure why but I'm always looking for shoes for her. Probably bc I get excited thinking about her tiny feet walking around in cute shoes. I have these on the list for her summer shoes

these both come in "baby" sizes, because toddler shoes don't fit her! She still wears a rare size 3

also let's talk about this scarf, from Madewell. This floral print pretty much sums up my style I think. I was there yesterday and couldn't bring myself to buy the Tshirt for 50 bucks, they have a dress and shoes too! but I just love this, oh so pretty!!

A few from Amarillo, and other stuff

Amelia and I went to Amarillo a couple of weeks ago to visit the Clarks. Paul had a business trip and it was  good excuse to get up there and hang out with my girl Katie, and Everett of course. we didn't do anything super exciting, just took the babies on little outings and ate tasty homemade food, ( I was just doing the eating in these cases, not the cooking).

I put together a little blog that features just my "photo sessions". Hopefully this will make it easier if anyone is interest in checking out my work and wanting me to do some photos for them. so spread the word!!!!! 

we are getting closer to listing our house, and hopefully it will sell  in a timely fashion so we can make a choice on a new home (we are moving over to the burbs! most likely Grapevine or surrounding cities). We will miss being close to cool stuff here in the Big D, and I'm sure we won't know how much until we have moved. But I certainly am looking forward to having more space for visitors and family, and a yard for Amelia to learn to do cartwheels in (you know after she learns to walk). So my mind is totally consumed with visions of new home decorating!! ( oh boy oh boy).

That about covers it for now!!
