A train ride

Last weekend Paul had a good idea to take the babes on a little train ride, the Tarantula train on Grapevine Main street is an antique train that takes you on little joy rides. The weather was cool and nice and it was fun!

In the past few weeks

Amelia has begun going to a Mother's day out on Fridays! I can't believe she is already participating in school-like activities, yikes!! Makes me feel weird to even admit it. She has done well and we are proud. These pics are from her first day.

And Georgie was already a month old last Saturday. Here he is lying in the grass.

(proud mama)

here is big sis refusing to pose with him for a picture

Wheeeee!!! Gramps pushing the swing really high! lol look at those hairs!

Nap mat

I made this mat today for Amelia for her "school" on Fridays. Good thing I added the poms to distract from the rough sewing job! Sewing through that thick batting just wasn't working well. Still need to have a tie on it for toting back and forth!

At home with baby George

I stole that title from a People magazine cover featuring the Royal Family, haha! What can I say, Kate and I have similar taste in classic boy names. (not a planned scenario!!)
OUR baby George, or Georgie as I call him all the time, is a real winner. He is a calm and easily soothed little guy, what a blessing! My own little prince, haha.
Here is a smattering of pics from the last few weeks, I love the ones of Amelia interacting with him, can't wait to watch their relationship grow.
first meeting! She actually didn't have much of a reaction

Eeee! My little fleshy guy

One of her first real interactions with him, took her a few days to warm up, helping with that pacifier

my dad with his first grandson, he's a big fan.

Aunt Katie stopped in to see him!

getting more comfy now

Oh poor Georgie, she's already trying to squash him

New Nursery

kind of a sad looking pic, but I made this light from a string of lights, cardboard and tissue paper!
(it is supposed to be a moon)

The nursery for the new baby in our new house is basically ready! Not every detail is pictured here, and I didn't take quality pics bc of course the only time I can keep things in order long enough to get pics is when Amelia is in bed! So I just snapped some with my phone. Baby boy will sleep in our room for a while after he is born, then he and Amelia will be on the opposite side of the house from our room! It does seem different to move him over there when he will still be so little, bc Amelia's nursery was two steps from our bedroom, but I bet we'll manage just fine.

35 weeks

Comfy with the help of numerous strategically placed pillows.

Only 5 weeks left in this pregnancy (maybe less???). Whew! It's been quite something. The physical toll has been oodles more significant this time. Reason being I am quite busy keeping up with my toddler, and I have a feeling this baby boy will be bigger than she was. He moves around LIKE MAD. I am shocked by the intensity of the movement every day! I am waddling so much it's kind of embarrassing. I know most people don't think I look really huge, but my belly is just so prominent! I see people looking at me when I'm out and about and I'm thinking "yes yes ok i am very pregnant!!"

But really I still have to say that I love being pregnant. I just love it. I realize these last two statements don't match up with everything else in this post. But while it's so physically taxing, and draining, and uncomfortable even painful, I am just so thankful for the baby in me, and for the health he and I have had during these last 8 months.

Dear little boy, your dad and your big sister and I will meet you so soon! And I just know you are going to be a wonderful baby and grow into a happy little boy. We love you. We have a name picked out for you, and we can't wait to share it with everyone when you arrive. I am praying your delivery will be smooth, I promise to try my hardest to bring you here safely, I can't wait to hold you!!
