last weekend with the babes

I started the weekend meeting Bri at the Nasher for little downtown museum touring.

Saturday night we had dinner at Park, and then headed out for some more Dallas fun!

A weekend well spent!

Mrs. McCombs requested the Greek salad recipe, and I don't know the amounts exactly but these are the ingredients for the salad...

kalamata black olives

flat leaf parsley

lemon juice

and then Martha dresses it with greek yogurt, a tad bit of chopped garlic, and lemon zest ( if you were doing a pita this is a good dressing...)

nails

now that fall is approaching I feel like I can paint my nails more intense colors. I wanted to get some teal nail polish, and this is what I got. I think I meant to get something more green, less aqua, but it is still pretty good...

Labor Day

We had fun in the sun and yummy food topped off with home videos. What could be better? We missed Grego.

My latest event

We went to dinner with some of Paul's friends and family a couple weeks ago and as I was talking about this business venture of mine Christy asked if I could help her out with an upcoming couple shower, obviously I jumped at the opportunity. I was able to put together some cute flowers for her and come up with a craft favor for the couple of honor.

Greek salad

I saw this recipe in a martha Stewart Mag and have been trying to remember it and make it, finally on the 3rd try I think I got it, and instead of putting it in in a pita, i put it on top of buttered toasted sourdough ( like bruschetta) and it was. so good.

Miss Jordan!!

Today is a special day for a special friend of mine. Jordan is 25 today!!

She is a precious girl who I have been friends with since the 8th grade, my partner in being non-athletic, and my inspiration to become an excellent dancer.

Everyone loves Jordan, that's why she has been in like 39 weddings, she is just the sweetest.

Also she is pretty goofy sometimes, which I totally love.

Another thing about her is that she has been so supportive of this blog, my creativity, my aspirations to become involved in design as a profession, it has completely warmed my heart! So as a big thank you to her and as a happy birthday gift I made her this...

A sign with her name spelled backwards!! haha jk, it's just that camera...

Jordan was searching for a cute teacher sign (because of course she teaches those precious little pre-k kiddos) last time we were at Canton and could not find one! So I assured her I would make her one, and this is it! I hope she likes it, it is on chalkboard paint so she can change it up according to which season it is...

Girls Day!

Jessica and I, among other fun things, went to the pool at the W hotel yesterday (thanks to a tip from Tina!). We took fun pictures and videos and had a couple drinks, the pool wasn't quite as luxurious as I was expecting, but it was still pretty good...
